Future Transport Systems was formally established in June 2009 when the team was formed in recognition of the complexities of installing vehicle recharging infrastructure and the requirement for expertise to be developed and provided in this area.
Initially the team focused on developing strategies for the North East of England that would later form the basis of its successful Plugged in Places infrastructure project and the SWITCH EV vehicle trial which Future Transport Systems went on to manage.
Following these projects they have developed infrastructure strategies for Yorkshire & Humber, the East of England (another successful Plugged in Places project) and Berkshire.
With extremely strong skill sets we are now involved in a range of activities including providing technical advice to OLEV, SMMT and the IET as well as managing and participating in major projects in the UK and northern Europe.
